ABOUT US

Consider the feeling when you step into a beautifully designed restaurant or hotel. The layout, the lighting, the materials – every detail works together to create a mood that feels effortless, yet entirely intentional. That same principle should define a holiday home, setting the tone the moment a guest walks through the door: relaxed, inspired, and subtly indulged.

Studio Tolcher specialises in experiential design – interiors curated around how a space is truly lived in, shaping where guests instinctively gather, how they unwind, and how deeply they connect. In a holiday setting, interiors are not simply decorative; they are the framework for memory-making, influencing how a property performs, how it feels, and how it is remembered long after departure.

LUCY TOLCHER

Lucy’s design perspective is grounded in her early training in Architecture and refined through years of working within luxury fashion at Mulberry and Gucci – brands where quality, materiality and detail shape how something is experienced.

After stepping away to raise her young family, she returned to design with renewed focus, retraining in Interior Design before establishing her own studio. What began with private residential projects soon evolved into a clear specialism: experiential design for holiday homes.

Travel remains a constant source of inspiration. Hotels, in particular, where atmosphere is carefully orchestrated – the way lighting softens at dusk, the texture and weight of materials, and how spaces intuitively guide behaviour. These observations echo what she learnt in fashion: that craftsmanship and detail shape emotion. Today, Lucy applies that same thinking to holiday properties, curating interiors that guests don’t simply admire, but genuinely experience.
